Women’s golf place second at McCook

McCook, Neb.– The North Platte Community College women's golf team placed second at the McCook Community College Tournament, held at Heritage Hills Golf Course. The Knights posted a two-day team score of 194-over par.

Leading the way for the Knights was Zoey Oatts, who shot an opening round 93, improving by three strokes in the second round to finish seventh overall.

Iryana Frahm recorded her best round on Thursday with a 91, finishing with a two-day total of 189 (+45).

Esperanza Mendoza-Rama made progress, shaving four strokes off her opening round to end with a combined score of 192. Rounding out the Knights was Delaine Mize who carded a two day total 206 (+62).

North Platte will return to the course for the Northeastern Junior College Tournament in Sterling Colo. on Oct. 2-3.
